7 Essential Oils To Help Support You In A Hospital Setting And Make The Room Smell better

My grandmother fell and broke her hip last week. Since then, I have been to the hospital every day to visit. If you have ever been in a hospital setting for more than a day or two, you know the smells, the mood, the vibe are all fairly unpleasant. (Unless you are in the Maternity area. That’s different)  When it became apparent that she would be there for several days, I felt like I needed to try to do something to alter the atmosphere.

On day 2, I decided to freshen her room up and give her some added health benefits at the same time. Win-win. Every nurse, physical therapist and healthcare provider who enters her room raves about the smell. But my main goal wasn’t to get her room smelling better; that’s just a happy side-effect. My main focus is to help support her health while she is stuck in  bed.

I have been diffusing an On Guard and Lavender blend over the past week because my focus has been on her immune health and keeping her calm.

You can choose oils based on smell or based on the health benefits that you want to experience. The choice is yours. There are a ton of options but I have narrowed the list to my top 7.
