EVERYBODY NEEDS THIS ESSENTIAL OIL IN THEIR MEDICINE CABINET

My attention was originally drawn to this root for health benefits when my father-in-law was getting radiation for a brain tumor several years ago. I had heard of turmeric but had never gone out of my way to buy or use it. However, when I began looking into it after I heard about the possible ability for it to treat tumors, I was intrigued. I was amazed at all of the wonderful things that turmeric can do.  Now I take it in capsule form and use the oil.

As a key botanical of the traditional Ayurvedic health practices of India, turmeric root and turmeric essential oil have a long history that has inspired modern uses of turmeric today. Steam distilled from the turmeric root, Turmeric essential oil has two unique chemical components, Turmerone and ar-Turmerone.

Most commonly known for their nervous system benefits, these components make internal use of Turmeric essential oil a staple in your daily health routine.* Turmeric oil is beneficial both internally and aromatically. Advantageous to the immune system, ingested Turmeric oil may have soothing benefits that promote a positive immune response.*

Turmeric oil can help to promote clear, smooth, and radiant-looking skin. Take Turmeric daily to support healthy immune function and response along with healthy circulation.* In addition to the many benefits of Turmeric essential oil, Turmeric oil acts as a great burst of flavor to your favorite savory meals. what about curcumin?

Curcumin differs significantly from turmeric. It gets a little complicated when you get down to the details, but essentially curcumin is the part of turmeric that gives turmeric its yellow color. In other words, curcumin is an extract of turmeric. Generally speaking, turmeric contains 2 – 8% curcumin, depending on how, where and when it is grown.

In a nutshell, turmeric is the whole root while curcumin is an extract of turmeric. It’s very important to understand that curcumin is really just a small part of a bigger picture. If you’re taking curcumin rather than turmeric, then you are missing out on the true healing power of turmeric.

The following information  was gathered, in part, from Advanced Oil Magic; a resource that I recommend for all of my clients.
