MY ESSENTIAL OIL SECRETS: 5 ON THE GO OILS

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I love my essential oils! Prior to having kids, I didn’t pay much attention to the products that I used. However, after having children I started to think more intentionally about the products that I was using in my home. The candles, air fresheners, OTC meds, creams, ointments, detergent etc. I started reading labels and was astonished at the list of unpronounceable chemicals in them. I was breathing in these chemicals and applying them to my skin…and now I had a baby to think about. I felt there HAD to be a better way…but I had no idea what that way was.

It took 3 years and I finally found my answer. doTERRA. I am embarrassed to say that prior to 2017, I’m not even sure that I had ever heard of essential oils. Man, was I missing out!!

I was invited to a class and I went with an open mind to support my friend, but I had no intention of buying anything. At that point, I was under the impression that oils were “scents” and that they were for smelling only. My mother-in-law had given me a diffuser and lavender warming oil and the oil made me gag. Seriously, I wanted to hurl the first time I used it (first and last time…) Little did I know that “warming oils”, “scent oils” and even most “essential oils” are 180 degrees from doTERRA’s CPTG oils. Worlds apart.

What I learned that night changed my life.

doTERRA essential oils are certified pure therapeutic grade. They are completely free of chemicals and fillers.  So that peppermint tea you’re drinking, that orange you’re peeling and that lavender you have growing in your garden that you adore the smell of? That’s all that’s in your bottle of doTERRA essential oil. Our oils can be used aromatically, topically and, if the bottle has supplement facts, internally.

We use essential oils as a first line of defense in our home. From fighting off pests and bugs, to purifying and cleansing the air, to supporting our bodies through the changes of season and everything in between. I love cooking with them as well!

While my oil case at home has over 60 oils (I’m still working on my collection), I can’t carry all of those with me every day. So I narrowed it down to a few that fit in the oil bag that I carry in my purse. The following 5 oils are always in my bag. I never ever leave home without them.

On Guard

doTERRA On Guard, a proprietary essential oil blend, provides a natural and effective alternative for immune support when used internally.
